Prayers needed badly

He has gone now for 24 hours with no fever and they have drained his wounds 2 times. He is not able to walk any yet, but they say he will be able to. He is not out of the woods yet by no means. The doctors say they don't know if there is any permanent damage of any kind yet. The type of MRSA he had was apparently a very quick acting form. It is too early to tell yet about any permanent damage.

Carter is doing much better today. The rash is almost gone, and the wounds didn't need draining today. Still not able to walk, though. The doctors think that is because his feet are still sore from the infection and there is no fever.

I will tell you now, I was really scared and worried for him, especially him being in Germany and in a German hospital. However, these doctors really seemed to know exactly what to do.

The military doctors tried to tell my daughter that it was a spider bite and he would be ok, but if she didn't feel comfortable with them for her to go to the civilian hospital. Thank God she took him straight from the military doctors and went to the hospital. My whole family owes these professionals all our gratitude.

so it ended up being staph? thats pretty normal around here too, go to the doctor and they tell you they think its a spider bite and you will be fine, then it ends up as staph and you have to get all kinds of work done because they didnt test it well enough.
